Conference Weekend Tradition

General Conference Weekend means a few things in our home... pajama's all day, cereal all day, naps between sessions, and the kids' favorite: it's time to measure how much their little spirits have grown. We started this tradition one year ago, Avery was 3 and Stet 1. Gage was just a twinkle,(or was it a twinkie)but he made his mark this year.

Um, no, Avery did not cut her own bangs... that was me. I love them! Danny thinks it makes her look like a boy. What do boys know about girl hair anyway? The cut was actually straight when I cut it, but then her hair dried. Oops! Darn cowlick!!

Stet is intense! This measuring stuff is serious business... focus... steady...

I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY CAN GROW SO MUCH IN A MATTER OF MONTHS!!!

Holy cow those bangs really change the way she looks. It's amazing to me how fast they grow. What an awesome tradition!

What a good tradition!! Chad and I always talk about doing that on one of our walls but we never do it.

P.s my blog is not private anymore.

What a great idea! I ought to schedule something around General Conference, so I always remember to do it twice a year. Like go through my pantry and pull out soon-to-expire food. Or something more exciting. And her bangs do NOT make her look like a boy. They're mega cute.

Your kids are all darling! I love them!!

This is such a great tradition! Last general conference, I decided to start the same with our girls. But where to measure...needless to say, we still haven't started. Lame. You guys are my measuring heros ;)
