Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

Everyone has childhood best friends. I have seven. Whether that's common or not, this group is exceptional. I had no idea when I was walking to Kindergarten with some of these girls that we would see each other through everything over the next two decades, I mean EVERYTHING. From learning to tie our shoes, stealing each others bikes, building forts, making time capsuls, to first crushes, first bras, first kisses, drivers ed, girls camp, road trips, weddings, and first babies. Each one of these girls has left an imprint on my makeup and influenced my character. What's more is that we are all still in contact and get together whenever I travel home. They are my sisters as duly as the label can be given.

Somehow, the heavens have smiled on me again, as I again find myself surrounded with exceptional friends. So, I asked if for my birthday they would join me for a "Girls Photo Shoot" and family BBQ! We toughed the freezing cold and wind but I am so grateful to have these pictures as a commemoration of the incredible friendships that have bonded. I know we won't be here forever, and I dread the day I have to face that. But now at least I have these pictures anytime I want to relive a late Bunco night, Freezer Meals, preschool, Tropical Smoothies, park days, pool days, movie nights, Club Lavo (nice), our volleyball dynasty, or running my butt off (literally) at 4:45 in the morning.

I am so blessed to know these women, each one inspires me in her own way. From their spontinaity, ambition, accomplishment, and craziness, to their humility, fortitude, unmeasurable grief, and compassion, my character is once again being molded. These women are teaching me to grow up, just a little bit more. They are exactly who I need for who I am right now, my life is forever changed for knowing them. I love you, girls!!! Thanks for being my birthday present this year.

Wow, what a girl power party! Amazing. Last time I had that many of my friends celebrating my birthday was when I was in Elementary School and I brought cup cakes for my whole class. You all look so beautiful! We love ya bunches and hope you had a wonderful day today! Sarah can't wait to see her favorite volleyball partner again soon.

Those pics came out SO FREAKING cute! I wish I could have been there! Hope you had a happy b-day :)

Oh, by the way, Grace gave me some baby girl clothes that are too small for Brynlee - could you use them? Just let me know and I'll drop them by or bring them to Bunco.

Jaci, How amazing! What a sweet story of real friends. I couldn't scrownge that many girls up who love me, and then pictures would be a problem, I've uglified a bit so I'd not be in the picture. I love how you grab life! And the pictures, especially the close ups of you alone made me cry because of your beauty. You are amazingly beautiful, inside and out. I love you so much and I'm so glad Danny brought you to us. Happy Birthday hun!
