Avery turns 5!

For Avery's 5th birthday she wanted a "Girls Only Ballerina Princess Party... but Stetson can come too." (The mere fact that she understands the whole concept of having a 'themed party' makes her mama's heart proud.) We made tutu's for each of the girls. Avery was excited and insistant that she wear her swimming suit under her tutu...

We even had a "REAL DANCER" come as the VIP guest (thanks, Lark!!) She was so cute with the girls, going through warm-ups with them, teaching them some techniques and moves, and even choreographing a little ditty. The girls were eating up every second!!

Stetson was given the role of "Defender of the Ballerina Princesses" with a sword to fight of any dragons or ogres, but it doesn't take a math genius to figure his odds at this party, so he wanted to be right in the middle of the action!

Avery wanted "pink cupcakes with sprinkles" and "rainbow swirl ice cream". Easy enough!

Oh how I love that girl!!!

... and I am nerdy enough to put a picture of the ceiling decorations. They turned out so cute! These tissue paper balls are my new favorite room fillers.

Avery steals some birthday loves from Stet at our Family Night Party.

(Upload video of birthday song and wish here) Been having trouble with this, will keep trying.
